Lymphogranulomatosis, also known as Hodgkin's lymphoma, is a primary tumor disease of the lymphoid tissue. It initially arises locally in one of the lymphoid system organs, followed by dissemination to other lymph nodes and internal organs. The text discusses four histological variants of the disease: Lymphoid predominance, Nodular sclerosis, Mixed cellularity, and Lymphoid depletion. A key histological feature is the presence of Reed-Sternberg cells. The stages of the disease are classified based on the extent of spread, ranging from localized (Stage I) to generalized (Stage III).
